Last updated: September 26, 2026 — Rough draft. Subject to revision before broader release.
This Privacy Policy explains what information Tweak (“we,” “us”) collects when you use the Tweak app (the “Service”), how we use it, and who we share it with. It should be read alongside our Terms of Service.
Tweak is currently an invite-only beta. We may update this policy as the Service evolves — see Section 13.
When you create an account, we collect your email address and, if you sign in with Google, basic profile information (name, email, profile photo) provided by Google. If you sign up with an invite code, we associate your account with the person who invited you.
We store the content you create or upload in Tweak, including recipes, tweaks, ingredient swaps, notes, photos, ratings, comments, and pins.
We store information about your community: who you’ve invited, who has invited you, and the connections between accounts. This is how Tweak determines what content is visible to whom (see Section 6 of the Terms of Service).
Our hosting and infrastructure providers automatically log standard technical information (such as IP address, browser type, and request timestamps) as part of operating the Service securely and reliably.
We use the information above to:
We do not use your content or personal information to train AI models, and we do not sell your personal information. See Section 5.
To help keep Tweak safe, text and images you submit are automatically screened for unsafe content before being saved. Text is checked using OpenAI’s moderation service; images are checked using Google Cloud Vision’s SafeSearch detection. These checks are automated and used only to flag unsafe content — not to build advertising profiles.
Content you mark as Community or Public visible is shared with your community or the public, per the visibility rules described in our Terms of Service. We do not otherwise share your content with other users beyond what your visibility settings allow.
We share information with the vendors that help us run Tweak, including:
These providers may only use your information to provide services to us, not for their own independent purposes.
Some features use Anthropic’s Claude AI models. When you use one of these features, the information needed to answer your request is sent to Anthropic for processing:
This happens only when you use the feature; nothing is sent to Anthropic in the background. Anthropic processes this information to provide the response to us and does not use it to train its models. Anthropic keeps it only temporarily — it is automatically deleted within 30 days — except that content flagged as violating Anthropic’s usage policies may be kept for up to 2 years for safety review. AI responses can be wrong — see Section 13 of the Terms of Service.
We may disclose information if required to do so by law, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to comply with legal process, protect the safety of any person, or investigate fraud or abuse.
If Tweak is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will provide notice before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
We do not sell your personal information or content to third parties.
Tweak uses a small number of essential cookies to keep you signed in and to keep the Service functioning correctly. We do not currently use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
We retain your account and content for as long as your account is active. If you delete a piece of content, we remove it from the Service, though it may persist briefly in backups. See Section 8b for account deletion.
You can view and edit most of your information directly within the app (your profile, recipes, and settings). For anything you can’t change yourself, contact us at contact@tweakyourrecipe.com.
You can delete your account at any time from My Account → Danger Zone. This permanently removes your login and personal information. Recipes and tweaks that no other community member interacted with are deleted outright. Recipes and tweaks that a friend pinned, rated, commented on, tweaked, or scheduled in their own meal plan remain visible to the community you already shared them with, attributed to “Deleted user,” since removing that content could break tweaks, comments, or meal plans other members built on top of it.
Tweak is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Tweak is an early, invite-only beta. Features, data structures, and the underlying infrastructure may change as we develop the Service, and we may reach out to beta users for feedback about their experience.
Tweak is currently operated from the United States, and information we collect is processed and stored in the United States. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer and processing.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, particularly as we add new features. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, for material changes, provide notice within the app or by email.
